Kapow Pictures was established in 1997 and is one of Australia’s most innovative animation studios producing 2D and 3D digital content for TV, film, mobile and the web.
Whilst carving out an impressive reel of commercials, promos, shorts and music videos, Kapow is also one of the few studios in Australia to Produce, Design and Direct two hi-end 3D feature films, Casper’s’ Scare School and Here Comes Peter Cottontail the Movie. Kapow has worked with many talented voice actors including Tom Kenny (Spongebob Squarepants), Roger Moore (James Bond) Dan Castellaneta (The Simpsons) and Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future).
Kapow’s short films have won acclaim and fans worldwide, screening at major festivals including Annecy, Ottawa and Berlin. The short film Show & Tell won first prize at the 1stInternational 3D Awards in Copenhagen (beating Pixar!). Wyatt Earp Makes Me Burp won best short film at Telluride and the Vancouver Film Festival.
Kapow also created and co-produced Yakkity Yak, a 52 x 11 mins children's flash tv series for MTV International which screened on channels around the world including Nickelodeon and Nicktoons (USA), Nickelodeon (Australia). Network Ten and ABC (Australia).
